Creating Multiple Streams of Affiliate Marketing Income

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 12:42 am on Monday, May 12, 2008

Have you ever heard or read the phrase multiple streams of income before? Do you know what this phrase means? For many businessmen, creating multiple streams of income online or offline is one way of securing themselves as well as their businesses in the future. They also believe that it can also save them from the so-called famine effect in the business industry. Once you are engaged in affiliate marketing business, it is advisable if you have multiple streams of affiliate marketing income so that if one of those income streams vanished, it will not upset you the way losing your sole stream would. If you depend on just one source of income and this single stream has been downsized or has lain off, you’ll surely find yourself bankrupted and hopeless. Try to ask the most successful online entrepreneurs, and you’ll discover that they have established multiple streams of online income.

There is a businessman that said and attested that the very first step you must take in creating multiple streams of income is to assess or evaluate your resources. Start by assessing yourself first. Jot down your answers to the following questions: What are the talents, abilities, strength and gears that you possess? Are you gifted with excellent and creative writing skills? Can you do well at sales? Are you good in communicating with people? Are you born with an artistic skill or unique ability that other people don’t have? Through this, you can determine the kind of business where can possibly excel.

Next, look around and write down you assets and physical resources such as computer, color printer, scanner, digital camera, cell phone, CD or DVD burner. Write these all down because it can be used as a resource. Consider also your friends and family. Find out what do they possess that you have access to. Remember that no man is an island. You can use the talents, abilities, knowledge and resources of everyone you know.

That’s basically the initial step if you want to create multiple income streams. But if you’re already a webmaster or a site owner, you definitely have an edge. Why don’t you join affiliate marketing business to help you gain extra income out of your own website?

If you base what you do on inaccurate information, you might be unpleasantly surprised by the consequences. Make sure you get the whole income story from informed sources.

Being involved in affiliate marketing is one of the most desirable ways to make multiple sources of income. It is because affiliate marketing programs come in various shapes and forms. There are a large number of affiliate marketing programs that you can sign on with and start gaining bucks right away. In affiliate marketing, you can make money by promoting and reselling your affiliate products and by recruiting new affiliates. What’s good about this is that you can find widest array of training materials that can enhance your marketing abilities. In affiliate marketing, you can be sure that there are genuine products to promote and sell and there is real income to make.

Either part time or full time, being an affiliate marketer is an excellent way to create multiple income streams by means of promoting products and services from web merchants. Here, you can get affiliate commission without investing big bucks in making your own product and without worrying about book keeping, customer support and ecommerce. All you have to do is to promote and resell the products and services in your site and pass on potential customer’s the merchant’s site.

In affiliate marketing, it is advisable to promote more merchants in your site so that your visitors will have variety of destinations to choose from. Using multiple merchants in the same site or niche means only one thing-you have multiple streams of affiliate income. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this business strategy because this is one of the best ways to protect your business and expanding your horizons. Through this, you can be assured that you won’t experience crisis if ever one of your web merchants closed his/her program.

However, you should choose only those affiliate programs that interest you so that you can effectively advertise and promote them. Don’t ever be tempted into signing up for numerous affiliate programs in the hope that one of them will bring income. Select wisely and don’t be engaged in selling products you know nothing about. Go with the stuff that jives with your enthusiasm; your passion can capture your client by the nose and guide him/her to your affiliate link.

You should also work hard to make your multiple streams of income more stable. You can do this by embracing some strategies and tactics and by developing within yourself, some traits that can help you become successful in any kind of business such as patience, persistence and thirst for knowledge.

Lastly, just remember the adage that says Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. So that if one of them is lost, you can still have some to make omelets. And what do these eggs have to do with multiple streams of affiliate income? Well, it goes without saying that the more streams of income you possess, the bigger and better your money lake becomes.

Don’t limit yourself by refusing to learn the details about income. The more you know, the easier it will be to focus on what’s important.

What Do I Sell Or Do To Make Money On The Internet?

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 12:42 am on Monday, May 12, 2008

Finding products and services to market online is easier than you may think.

You may be asking yourself how do you start a work at home business and make money on the internet. You have nothing to sell and you do not know anything about computers or the internet, or you might think you do not have anything to write about. Well, if you found this site, then you have some of what it takes to start your own work at home business. One of the greatest things about making money online is you do not need your own product to sell, or a vast knowledge of any particular subject. The internet provides all that for you! Everything you need is available to you if you can learn how to find it and use it to your advantage.

The details of going about it are a little more complex than what I explain here but the concept is relatively easy to grasp. You can make a second income online or even a living promoting other peoples’ products. This is what is usually called affiliate marketing. These products may be actual items from companies like Amazon and thousands of other online merchants. These merchants will pay you a commission to send others to their web site and buy their products or services. Another option is creating a content-rich web site full of useful information pertaining to a specific subject and selling advertising on it or a combination of the two. Both of theses methods can be very hard to start out with if you do not have prior experience. You can also work at home opportunities that teach you how to start making money on the internet; some are free to join and others may be fee-based. As far as the free programs, remember the old adage “you get what you pay for”. You also need to be careful spending your money on a fee-based program. Research the offer thoroughly before you give up your hard-earned money.

Multi-Level Marketing is another great work at home opportunity that is a match made in heaven for the internet. Now, do not roll your eyes and click the back button just yet. I remember the days when I avoided my brother like the plague; he was always bugging people about coming to meetings or telling everyone how great he felt taking vitamins and dietary supplements. I bet the poor guy got pretty lonely for a while there. But MLM online is completely different. In fact, some of the best work at home opportunities to get started with is some form of MLM or tiered program. The beauty is you do not need to bother your family or friends to join or buy the products and your not limited to the people you know to get started. You have millions of people in the online community as prospects; so do not discount MLM online. It is a great way to get start a work at home business and usually these programs have great training resources to get you started because their success is based on your success.

As you can see, the possibilities for earning money online are as limited as your imagination, and the more research you do upfront, the better your chances are for finding the best work at home opportunity that is right for you.

Child Nutrition

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 6:30 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2008

Like an adult, every child needs appropriate amounts of calories, proteins, minerals, and vitamins to grow. The new Food Guide Pyramid Guidelines outline the amount of grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and meats or beans people should eat daily. Children between the ages of four and six can usually have serving sizes recommended for adults, while younger children, who have smaller stomachs and lower nutritional needs, need smaller amounts of food. But apart from consuming the right quantity, parents should keep in mind that exposure to a wide variety of healthful foods early in a child’s life can set the stage for more variety later. Since children are often reluctant to try new foods and would be happy eating the same foods every day, the role of the parent is that of a guide towards a healthy and nutritional food lifestyle.

First of all, it is important for growing children to get the full range of important nutrients, especially protein, iron, calcium, and vitamin A. Although appetite variations are considered by experts as normal and might increase during times of rapid growth, or diminish during periods of slow growth, the general rule of thumb is that a 3 year old needs not more than 1,300 calories daily, a 10 year old around 2,000 and an adolescent may require as many as 2,800 depending on the height, weight and daily activity level.

- Fruits and Vegetables: Have always available in the fridge, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables that your kids can chew in case they are suddenly hungry or in-between lunches. Remember to keep fruit juice on one service daily since the sugar this drink contains has a lot of ‘hidden’ calories. Broccoli, carrots, and vegetables with bright colors, usually attract children’s attention and help them fill their stomachs with something healthy instead of a bag of fried potato chips.

- Dairy products: Foods that are rich in calcium are essential for children and adults helping them build and maintain strong bones. Low fat milk and fat-free dairy products should be served daily and kids have to eat cheeses with 2-6 grams of fat per ounce. The needed calcium can also enter your child’s organism if he or she consumes orange juice and eats yogurt. Treats made with frozen yogurt and fruits, or milkshakes made with low-fat milk are always welcomed and provide the necessary sweet taste children usually crave.

- Grains: In fact, your child’s diet should be based on grains and starches. Whole grain products also contain iron that kids need and whole-wheat bread or pasta can give them the necessary grains for their bodies to function properly.

- Liquids: Remember to serve your child plenty of water and low-fat milk. Avoid sugary sodas and high-fat ice-cream milkshakes.

- Portions: Always serve appropriate portions and weight your kids often. Sugary foods or those containing high-fat ingredients should be generally avoided. Offer healthy snacks, like vegetables, fruits or a ball of whole-grain cereal and allow them to eat crackers with cheese and low-fat chocolate milk.

Finally, you have to check if your child is gaining the normal amount of weight as it grows up and that it exercises often. Outdoor activities and a healthy diet plan are enough to provide your kids with the necessary amount of energy they need and build strong bodies.

Extraordinary Leadership!

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 3:40 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2008

Introduction

The world, everywhere is looking for leaders!

Governments need leaders of substances to bring about good governance. The organizations pay attractive remunerations for leaders who can build them to greater heights. Our communities need good leaders to establish social cohesion for a peaceful environment. Our homes need leadership to bring about love and harmony in the family. Good leaders are needed everywhere. It is surely a rare commodity and the recruitment is still on going.

Great organizations are not just looking for managers that manage their function well, but rather for leaders that can influence others for breakthrough results. Growing their people, their teams through empowerment and creative actions for winning over competitions.

Some examples of extraordinary leaders are: Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, etc..

What is leadership?

Rosalyn Carter once said, A leader takes people where they want to go. A great and extraordinary leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go but ought to go! That is extraordinary leadership, isn’t it!

We all know that leadership is all about INFLUENCE! Influencing lives, societies and the environment for the good of all. It is about sacrificial giving of service and not taking for selfish reasons. Can someone like us, who always deem ourselves, as ordinary people become extraordinary Leaders?

The answer is a definitely YES!

Let me convince you that it is possible. I will share with you 3 key principles about leading influence for extraordinary results.

Ordinary people like you and me can have extraordinary influence in life! We can impact people whom we serve, work with and lead, if we put these 3 key principles into daily application. Walking the TALK not just WALK! NATO leading is not powerful and is not accepted by all. (N.A.T.O.which means No Actions Talk Only).

The 3 key principles with the alphabet, I , or I called it

The 3 Is of Leadership Influence.

That is:

I - INSPIRE the future.

I - IGNITE the spirit of innovations.

I - INSTILL the people with Faith, Hope and Love.

Let me now elaborate, firstly the I - INSPIRE the future.

Leadership is about looking at the future, future direction and future vision. As the wise saying goes, Without vision, people perish! So leadership without vision kills not only the leaders but also the people they lead. We all need to have a direction of what is to come and leadership influence and inspiration for the people to move towards it is necessary.

Regarding direction. Let me share an ancient story which happened in the central province of Hang Zhou, China many years ago. There was a war that broke out in the North of the province. There was a young man; full of courage and faith, decided that he would go for the war with their warriors to defeat the enemy of the land. He prides himself, saying, I will go and fight the war and I will win. I will win because I have a sharp sword, strong horse and a brave heart! He was chanting his victorious war cry, I have a sharp sword, strong horse and a brave heart, I will win the war for our country .

However, along the way he met a wise old man who stopped him. What are you doing, young man? Answering with a confident voice, he replied, Sir, I am going to the North to fight the war and I believe I will win the war as I have a sharp sword, strong horse and a brave heart.

The wise man retorted, young man, what makes you so sure that you will win the war? The war is in the North, but the direction you are heading is going South!

How true, isn’t it. Leaders may have a good direction, but if they are heading to the wrong direction, then that is sure disaster!

Direction dictates vision. Vision empowers people to the future. But it is clear and shared vision that will harness people’s commitment and synergy towards true success.

So to become extraordinary, INSPIRE a shared vision among those we lead.

Next is about I - IGNITE the spirit of innovations. The future belongs to people and organizations that innovate. The saying goes, either we INNOVATE or we will EVAPORATE! Everyone in the organization must be responsible for innovation. Innovation is a result of people not the organization. People innovate, never the organization. It is leadership that empowers the people to unleash their creative potentials to the fullest. Leaders need to ignite the spirit of innovation by creating a climate through Respect, Trust and Effective Communication.

The power of innovation, is derived from people that add and multiply to life and not from those who minus and divide life. A positive and multiplying leader ignite the potential of those they lead to the similar positive and multiplying outcome. They look for ways to ADD value and areas to MULTIPLY impact on the organization. Good followers are influenced by good and effective leader. On the other hand, good leaders are encouraged and supported by strong followership as well.

Finally, let me share about the last I - INSTILL the people with Faith, Hope and Love. The leadership with significance is about modeling and pacing the people they lead and influence in living in Faith, Hope and Love. They need faith, since the future is full of uncertainty and challenges. Faith overcomes F.E.A.R (or False Evidence Appearing Real). Fear destroys and divides up people and is harmful. Faith on the other hand builds up courage to face and move mountains. So to lead extraordinary, instill faith not fear. Faith moves mountains and people. Have faith in God, self and people, then leadership influence will be very effective. Faith allows us to see those we lead like giants and not dwarfs. Faith also shapes the mindset of the leaders and their people to look at the future with opportunities and not with bleakness.

Hope gives people meaning to life and courage to face tomorrow.

Love brings the real meaning of our existence in life. Love builds relationship, brings harmony and the joy of life to those we serve.

Leadership that is extraordinary set pace and set example in the area of faith hope and love. Servant leadership influence people towards having faith, hope and love of the future, for their people, and the environment we all live in.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we should strive to become an extraordinary leader, to inspire as shared vision, ignite the spirit of innovations, and instill faith, hope and love for influence.

Ode to the Road (The Road Trips of our Lives)

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 3:32 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2008

Recently, in the early morning dawn, I dreamed I was a child again, helping my parents to pack up our white Rambler for our annual summer vacation. When I awoke, I had a yen to pack up my car and take off. This feeling is not unfamiliar to me. It reoccurs every summer and seems to be imbedded in my subconscious by wonderful, childhood vacation memories.

I encourage you to take a sentimental journey by reminiscing on your own childhood family vacations, and then on trips taken later on in your life. Although you might not remember what you did last week, vacation memories are often surprisingly vivid even those from long ago. Road trips reflect how we viewed life at various ages and stages of our life. Take time out to remember the excitement you felt as a child, a young adult and perhaps as a parent-as you left your every day routine behind to explore and share exciting new places with your family.

Childhood Vacations: The most wonderful thing about our childhood vacations is spending time together with our parents, brothers, and sisters. At no other time is a family more of a cohesive unit than when traveling together-especially on a road trip.

When I was a child, our family vacations were spent in the beautiful outdoors. I loved being near the water and fondly recall lakeside vacations that were spent water skiing, swimming, and boating. Reminisce on the places and activities that kept you happily occupied on your childhood vacations. These memories hold the key to places and interests that are just waiting to be rediscovered.

Teen and Young Adult Years: Life is exhilarating and we’re likely to impetuously seize opportunities to independently travel with our friends, rather than our parents. Problematic scenarios such as running out of money or having car trouble are the furthest things from our mind. Looking back at my own naivety and lack of sensibility reminds me why I question the judgment of my teenage daughter. Mark Twain’s quote could certainly have been written by me, Providence protects fools and idiots. I know because I have tested it.

The Parenting Years: Anticipating problems becomes very important to us when we’re parents and the well-being of our precious cargo is foremost on our minds. Parents have the responsibility of planning, packing, and paying for their family’s trip as well as making sure that it’s fun and safe. Vacations can be quite arduous, especially when our kids are young. And yet-the memories of those family vacations will warm your heart and make you smile for years and years to come. And one day your kids will remember their wonderful family vacations and pass the legacy on to their own children.

The Kids are Grown: My most recent road trips demarcate a new phase in my life. With all three of my children over the age of 18, I’ve returned to the days when I can take spur of the moment road trips. They are as exhilarating today as they were when I was young, but now I have the common sense that I lacked as a teenager. For the first time in decades, I’ve taken childfree trips with my husband and several of my friends. I’ve also taken several long distance road trips by myself. If you need to clear your mind or get your creative juices flowing, I highly recommend that you take a road trip on your own. The task of driving occupies enough of the left-brain to free your right-brained creativity. Solo road trips can be a spiritual journey, helping us to learn to listen to ourselves. We can stop whenever we like, wherever we like, for as long as we like. And it gives us the opportunity to reminisce on the road trips of our lives.

Sept. 11th ABC Movie - Historically Accurate

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 3:32 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2008

Sometimes Hollywood does get it right. The landings at the beaches of Normandy in the Steven Spielberg movie, “Saving Private Ryan” is a vivid, stunning, blood and gore portrayal of the horror that young American troops freeing the world of Adolph Hitler faced. No book could portray this experience as accurately as the movie.

The Disney Company through its ABC subsidiary, has put together a $40 million dollar 5 hour experience of the events leading up to the September 11th tragedy at the World Trade Centers. Being a student of national security I was deeply surprised at how accurate the movie is. Even some of the actors physically looked like some of the actual participants in the events.

The senior Democratic leadership in the Congress pleaded with the network not to air the movie. They felt that the Democrats were being shown in a bad light, which they were. If you want to lead a country, you must take the hit politically when you are caught on the wrong side of an issue.

Beginning with Jimmy Carter, this country has treated acts of terrorism as a judicial process, a law and order issue, and not an ACT OF WAR. This policy was continued by every President, Republican or Democratic for over a quarter of a century, only President Bush to his credit, decided to call it what it is, WAR. It’s the desire on the part of Islamic extremists to make the world unsafe for democracy.

The Democrats have much to lose because Senator Hillary Clinton would like to be President in the next 24 months, and former President Clinton is taking a hit on this movie as well. Bill Clinton personally called Robert Iger, the CEO of Disney, and ABC’s parent company to ask him to cancel the 5 hour drama. Clinton was told that the show was still being edited, and this was just 4 days before it would appear on television. Nobody edits that close to airtime. Who’s kidding who? Nevertheless, it looks like 15 to 20 minutes were cut from the first night’s portrayal.

One of the scenes that were altered at the former President’s request showed Sandy Berger, former national security advisor to President Clinton in a telephone conversation with leaders of the CIA. The agency had a real time, live ground operation in progress to capture Osama Bin Laden going on while Berger on the phone simultaneously, couldn’t make up his mind whether to proceed. Men’s lives were at risk, and Berger can’t make a decision. Finally, Berger hangs up the telephone rather than be pinned down. The scene showing Berger hanging up the phone was deleted.

Berger certainly doesn’t come up in a good light. Neither does former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright for that matter. When it came to giving the approval to go after Bin Laden, Albright makes it very clear that regional considerations must come first, and then there’s President Clinton himself. The movie does some job portraying the former President as out of touch, and even weak towards terrorism. To a very great extent this was simply the former President following in the same footsteps as every President before him during the preceding 25 years.

Former Presidents have all played the same tune. They treated terrorism as a legal issue. These people must be arrested, and brought to justice. Terrorists were waging war against the United States, and we in turn were waving arrest warrants, and grand jury indictments at them. This was just as true of Republican Presidents as well as Democratic Presidents. Nobody in a leadership position in Washington wanted to take on the terrorism issue.

It was far easier and face saving, to call it a legal issue. The current President George Bush changed all that. Whatever you think of the current President, he is the first American President in a quarter of a century to deal with terrorism for what it is, terrorism. It is a war pure and simple.

Now there are a lot of people in the world that hate us, that’s the bad part. The good part is that 99% of these people don’t have the money, energy, knowledge, or guts to follow through on their hatred. They can’t execute, they can’t get it done. Bin Laden had the wherewithal, and the organization to follow through, and that’s just what he did. Ask anyone in the CIA, and they will tell you that the 9/11 plot was in no way the work of amateurs.

If you asked an intelligence agent his objective opinion, he would probably tell you the operation was well thought out, well run, well financed, and well executed. The cell even used our own technology (GPS tracking), and openness of our society against us. It was kept a small operation by the terrorists, and the goal was something that in an open society was unthinkable.

The ABC movie showed the continuing power of visual media over books. You can write a thousand books, but one movie can be seen by a hundred times people than those who read books.

Bin Laden knew the power of visuals. This is why he wanted the full force of the media to be involved in this tragedy, and that’s just what he got. The man is evil, and he’s a terrorist. We must also realize that with his money and organization he represents a threat that we have not seen before or since. He should have been dealt with by now. The scale of the danger he represents is too great, for this menace to be left alive in the mountains of Pakistan where he lurks.

Computer Mice And Their Origin In Our Telephones

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 7:48 am on Sunday, May 11, 2008

Like so many developments that we take for common on our computers the humble mouse had its origins in the innovative work done for more than two decades at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). The PARC mouse had two rollers for horizontal and vertical motion and a single button. The deucedly boxy shape was favored by many of developers at PARC and remarkably has persisted through many mouse (or mice) incarnations.

Firstly the Microsoft mouse design has had major impacts in the mice industry. Microsoft mice always had ergonomic design. The first Microsoft mouse had a broad teardrop shape with two buttons. The original green buttoned model had a steel ball that spawned an industry in foam mouse pads. The next iteration had larger buttons, a larger body, and a rubber coated ball.

When Microsoft decided that the mouse needed to be redesigned, it turned to the venerable firm Matrix Design of San Francisco. Microsoft routinely used and uses third parties to design and software develop many of the items and software that we take for granted today that Microsoft devoted alone . Mike Nuttal, one of Matrix Designs founders was intrigued by Microsoft’s project: reshaping the exterior without altering the internal mechanism.

Matrix did change one internal element: the position of the mouse ball. “Almost the first thing we tried was to move the ball forward”, Nuttal remarked later. In the old design the ball sat forward under the palm. A computer mouse user has a natural tendency to put their weight on the palms of their hands and thus on the ball. By moving the mouse ball forward the result was much greater accuracy of the mouse.

“We knew the buttons had to be larger “Nuttal as well said “We tried several button sizes and in the process of designing we ended up incorporating the buttons into the body of the mouse.” Another change was in the relative size of the buttons. It was felt that the left buttons should be larger than the right. The results were more than favorable especially with left handed users. By making the left button larger finger position no longer was a major factor therefore the index finger could curve form lower left to upper right ( vice versa in lefties ) . This is the position the index finger naturally favors. In addition the previous rubber-dome switches were replaced with micro switches that had a short travel depression and better tactile feedback.

It was not long before the firm Logitech responded to Microsoft’s mice innovations.

Logitech’s first mouse was truly one of the first examples of the upcoming international efforts in product development and design. A Swiss based Professor: Professor Niklaus Wirth spent a year on sabbatical at Xerox PARC in 1970 and returned to Europe to test mouse designs, working closely with Inria, a French design center for office automation products. In the end their final design was a round mouse with front mounted buttons.

Product development and testing ensued over the position of the buttons, and the front position won over the top.

However, Logitech soon found that the buttons on the front made the mouse jump backward slightly when clicked. The design was abandoned in favor of a wedge shape, which was followed by the rectangular shape that we today.

What is interesting about all of this is the effect of outside products on an item that we take for granted today - the humble mouse which so functional that we seldom give it second thought.

The rounded heel that fits so well in the palm of your hand, the large buttons, and the smooth edges all have roots in the most universal of electrical / electronic products.

Mr. Nuttal and Matrix Design’s area in great expertise was in the design and development of telephones.

My Hobby Farm

When the wind is blowing up a dust storm and it never looks like a decent rain will ever come, I can’t help but wonder why I bought this hobby farm. The mood does quickly turn however- on waking to a nice clear day full of promise everything feels rosy once again.

Coming from the land always helps when deciding to buy a plot of land, but a love of nature is essential. Not having a good knowledge of farming means much more homework is needed, but these obstacles can be overcome. Having lots of friends and a practical nature will enable you to overcome the problems which seem to be an everyday aspect of running a hobby farm.

I bought my farm in order to enjoy my lifelong passion for growing plants-especially fruit and vegetables. There is also the health aspect resulting from lots of exercise and of course a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. The seasons become clearer and the senses are certainly sharpened by the ever-changing colours, aromas and sounds.

Learning some of the fine details of plant propagation has always been a topic of interest. Some of the most interesting information has been obtained from older migrants who spent most of their lives on vineyards and orchards. Meeting and conversing with other gardeners and like minded people about their successes and failures also helps to get things into perspective.

In case you may be thinking there is money to be made from a hobby farm, think again. Most hobby farms being relatively small are inefficient and will cost much more to maintain than any likely earnings. Profits can me made with lots of dedication and a hard nosed approach towards a business, but much care and research will be needed in order to achieve this aim.

If you have decided to buy your own piece of paradise, I believe you can expect a journey with many ups and downs and lots of unexpected turns.

Wishing you all the best in your venture.

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 5:09 am on Sunday, May 11, 2008

You can find cordless phones through various sources. You can find them at electronics stores and websites that offer online shopping. Department stores also offer cordles phones. Some people have even claimed to have bought their cordless phones through some garage sales.

So why buy cordless phones? First off, if you are buying a cordless phone manufactured by dependable companies like Panasonic, Casio, Sony, Phonemate, AT&T, Uniden, Coby, VTech, and Toshiba, you have much assurance that this phone would last you through a lifetime at most. You do not need to be tied down to one location only each time you use the phone. You can move from one room to another and still be able to keep your phone conversation up. Also, most cordless phones come with features like answering machines and caller ID units.

However, there are certain disadvantages that cordless phones have. Did you know that your conversations can be easily listened in on when you use your cordless phone? This is just one disadvantage. Another one is that since it runs on batteries, you cannot use it during power outages.

Speaking of batteries, you should be able to decide first which type of battery you would like your cordless phone to have before you do go out and purchase one for yourself. There are Ni-Cad, or Nickel Cadmium batteries, and there are NiMh, or Nickel Metal Hydride, batteries. The former are cheaper compared to the latter but there are only a few sources of it. As per the NiMh batteries, you can find them in most grocery and convenience stores.

Cordless phones come with two antennas. Well, most of them does. One antenna can be found on the receiver while the other one is found at the base. These antennas can be coated up with rubber but is just made up of one section or it can also be made up of aluminum that can be stretched out or shortened, depending on your choice.

Emergency Men’s Grooming Fixes for Special Occasions

Filed under: Uncategorized — sunnyday at 7:04 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2008

Grad Season.Wedding Season. Springtime. Wintertime. It doesn’t really matter what time of the year it is—it seems like there’s always a holiday or event just around the corner that you’ve got to look good for. Don’t worry though; there’s no need to panic. MenScience has broken down the stages of men’s grooming from the hour before you walk out the door to what you should be doing all the time. Whether it’s a big date, college graduation, or a holiday party, you’ll look like a polished man no matter what the occasion.

Code Red (An hour before the event):

1. Shower immediately and shampoo. Gently exfoliate face with a face scrub. This will smooth and revitalize skin in under two minutes.

2. Shave: Try skipping shaving the day before a big event to make sure you get a close shave the day of. You can do several shaving passes then for a super-close result.)

3. Target an unexpected acne pimple: Apply an ice cube to a blemish for a few minutes to help reduce inflammation and size temporarily. Then, cover acne breakout with a small amount of acne treatment medicine and let absorb to reduce bacteria on the surface and get immediate results.

4. Go easy on the moisturizer to avoid a shiny, oily look.

Code Orange (The day of the event):

1. Press clean clothes, or get them pressed at the dry cleaners or laundromat a few days before.

2. Trim and clean beneath fingernails.

3. Cut unwanted hairs, such as nose and ear hair. Yeah, it’s gross, but it makes a huge difference.

4. Relieve puffy or tired eyes by laying a frozen eye mask wrapped in a washcloth over eyes for 5-10 minutes. Diminish dark under-eye circles by placing an eye mask in hot water, wrapping in a washcloth, then placing over closed eyes for 5 - 10 minutes. Follow by applying a moisturizer for the eye area.

Code Yellow (A few days to a week before the event):

1. Get a haircut. A trim is always a good idea, but if you’re going for a new hairstyle, do it a couple of days before the event. A horrible cut can often be managed if you have a few days to work with it. If your eyebrows are especially bushy, ask the barber about trimming to thin them a bit.

2. Book a manicure. Many barbershops and grooming lounges now offer them for men, and it’s a great preparation for the hand-shaking you’ll be doing.

3. Exfoliate your skin. Gently removing dead cells from the skin’s surface can immediately brighten your tone, smooth roughness and improve your overall appearance, but for the most optimal results, begin exfoliating your skin regularly 2 -3 times a week beforehand.

4. Clear your face. Achieving clear skin takes time, but there are some acne ingredients, like Benzoyl Peroxide, which start working immediately to eliminate blemishes.

Code Blue (All the time):

1. Don’t use bar soap: It can dry skin out over time, emphasizing fine lines and causing irritation and redness. Use a liquid cleanser instead.

2. Moisturize. Incorporate a lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer into your regular skincare routine, and your skin will be ready to party, anytime!

3. Prevent signs of aging by taking care of your skin now with an anti-aging treatment. Regular, early use can provide rewarding results within a few weeks and years down the road.

4. Stay in shape by exercising and following a healthy diet. Take high-quality supplements formulated specifically for men to receive valuable nutrients and promote better health overall.
